I'm Linda(at the shop), and here is my review of 1and1's Domain Name and Web Hosting Service.
.

With my "1and1" order, I thought it was going to be a bargain for the price I paid, but as that old saying goes...
"You only get what You pay for", I guess I should have listened to the other "1and1" customer group# 1 , 2, 3.
whom had their experiences with "1and1".

And now for SOME (not all) of my Problems...
-First...you get english speaking people in the U.S. to make it easy on you to get your money,
but after signing-up, when you want help from tech-support, which is all the time, you get someone
in the  Philippines(trying to speak english), to help you.
-Constant malfunctioning software(Control, Panel, etc.), sometimes only one-page or the whole website.
-Promises of credit, refunds or free months for malfunctioning websites, which were never kept(3x).
I guess that tech-support will give you credit or refund, BUT then billling says "no"!
-Web-pages that disappeared or crashed, but the so-called back-up pages were never there to replace
missing pages, but at least I always had plenty of T-i-m-e to rebuild pages, out of memory.
-"1and1" cannot edit your website, it is against company policy, even though one-time they did.
          >>> -As for "COMPLAINTS"-You could NEVER directly talk-to the infamous "COMPLAINT" Dept.,
because they are the ONLY ones in the Company, that do not have a phone-number(amazing)
well, do you have the number?, You can only email them.
-Please check-out complaints on the Internet. AND DON'T EVER ASK "1AND1", WHEN THEY ARE
GOING TO "FIX THE PROBLEM", THEY NEVER (and that is NEVER) HAVE TOLD ME "WHEN",
and all problems have remained for the time I had the website, and still no refund, credit, etc!!!
-AND I was always fighting with "1and1" ALWAYS, about there malfunctioning Website software,
and Employees promising things that were never delivered.
               -The money-paid and the money-saved, wasn't worth the frustration, so I went-on to Weebly(Free),
and it is better than "1and1", and no-more ulcers!
             >>>I was wondered if I should have filed a Complaint about "1and!"?

One-day, "1and1" is going to learn like Sprint did about Customer Service, and lose millions of customers,
before they change. Remember how bad Sprint was before they changed?

And do not go to "GO Daddy", I was not happy with that service either. When you get tired of their service,
they sit on your domain name so you can't transfer it to another Web-Hosting Company. A former employee
of "Go Daddy", that was now working for someone else, told me that's the game they like to play.
Other "Go Daddy" customers with there comments.
As for DANICA  PATRICK, the "1and1" promo mascot, she is only good-looking hanging around other guys,
if she was hanging around other women, she would be ugly.  Sorry Danica. (Hope you don't read this).

To Cancel individual items or the Entire Package: go to: "cancel.1and1.com", and either cancel the domain name,
the individual items  OR the entire package.
IF YOU DON'T CANCEL THE ENTIRE PACKAGE, YOU WILL KEEP PAYING!!!  Common sense.

And why pay "iPage" $3.49 a month for the a Weebly.com Website, when you get the same Website
for free from Weebly, and yes this page is Weebly.

There must be some good Companies out-there, but I have not found any, and Weebly.Com (for Free) is So-So,
          but so-far,  no complaints.

For the record, I do not work for any Web Hosting  Company, I am just like you, looking for a good Company.

          "Wishing You all the best",
